Sunday 15 March

Sunday and it was as usual quiet as we set off.
Met Dawnie and Debbie on the way, we had a good walk, checking the frogs in the channel, still very active.
Lots of birds about this morning, from the top of Primrose we watched the Magpies nest building they were so far away we could only tell it was them by the very long tail feathers. I suppose they were making their usual racket but we could not hear them.
Plenty of Lesser Celandine out.
This one was by the slippery log.

Dog's Mercury is also out in plenty.
These are the male flowers
They mainly spread by creeping under ground stems, that's why you get large areas of male or female flowers.
There are a few areas of female flowers around.
