Tuesday 7 April

Dry & mild, we headed down to the Sunny Brow Bridge, we could see a large bird on the path and as we drew near realized it was a pheasant that had lost his tail.

The man on the bridge did not seem to see the bird, we hung back with the dog.
It did the usual pheasant thing and tried to act as though we might not see it, finally it walked under the fence wire and as we got there it saw sense and flew off.
Wood Anemone open every where.

The young swan is still on the big lodge, he is quite strong and seems to have been practising his landings - watched him and he was very graceful.
Large Cabbage White butterfly in the greenhouse one of the many from last years nasturtiums.
