Debbie & Dawnie were waiting for us on the path to the fish ladder.
Got on our way and soon got on to the Barrow Field we walked around it and found the overflow pipe already damaged.

Not a good photo but the Moorhen chick appeared - it hides very well among the vegetation.

Got to add the weir is out of action again, talking to John one of the rangers and he says the kids that took the board out must have hidden it and then returned to replace it - the Friends of the Yarrow have taken it out and when the kids are back at school it will be put back with some modifications to hopefully prevent removal.
