Wednesday 17 February

Cool this morning, below freezing again. Wandered up to the Barrow field looking for the deer, no sign of them not even a footprint.
We ended up walking back through Burgh Wood, the woodpecker was drumming, could not see it.

More snowdrops out.

Plus this Spotted Laurel - Aucuba japonica, another I have never seen out side of a garden before. This is probably a bird sowing after eating the berries, a popular garden shrub/hedge plant.

The swans having a quiet moment.

  1. Love that spotted laurel! Of course it may not be good that garden plants are escaping to the woods.

Let me know you looked in :)
