Wednesday 14 April

On our own so we wandered about, took the route passed the building site and down into Duxbury.

Lots of Bluebells already in flower.

Common Dog Violet was on Sunny Brow.

Shepherd's Purse in Flower and seed.

Wood Anemone

Wood Sorrel

This spot is popular with dog walkers.

Lots of the wood have been opened up - sometimes I think it is not always for the better as the motorbikes can access it.

This bank was full of Opposite leaved Saxifrage.

Ivy Leaved Speedwell on Sunny Brow.

Mahonia in the old gardens near the golf club.

We found the Moschatel or local name Town Hall Clock.
 First photo shows the leaves.

Tiny little plant as you can see hardly noticeable.

5 yellow green flowers of which 4 face outwards and 1 upward.

Take Care.

  1. No bluebells opened as yet in our Pendle countryside.

  2. I don't know the town hall clock at all. The leaves look like Lupine. Thanks for naming things. Just came from another nature blog with no names, and I don't know the plants because it's thousands of miles from the ones I'm familiar with.
