Saturday 5 June

Dry sunny day, we were checking the trees along the edges of Spring Wood, last year nearly every tree had some gall on it not found any yet.
Still it was worth it for the bugs we found.
Forest Bug instar - Pentatoma rufipes
Hawthorn Shield Bug - Acanthosoma haemorrhoidale
 Snipe Fly
 Common Knapweed - Centaurea nigra

Orchids are beginning to flower found this group of over 20 plants in an area about 3 yards square some with spotted leaves, some without and various shades and patterns - quite a mixed (hybrids) lot, on Primrose Hill, I have checked all round this area before and missed this little treasure trove.

They were just out of the way, so hopefully they will spread further.

Take Care.
