Wednesday 18 August

Sunny day at Knott End.

Bumble Bee on the Garden Speedwell, she was warming herself ready for another busy day.

Cinnabar Caterpillar, we keep finding odd ones on the ragwort, last year we found lots on each plant.

English Stonecrop - Sedum anglicum

Perennial Sunflower - Helianthus x laetiflorus

Perennial Sunflower - Helianthus x laetiflorus - one single plant in the rough grass at the side of the sea wall.

Petty Spurge - Euphorbia peplus - I never tire of looking at plants and they are much easier to photograph.

This was a survey boat, it was sweeping the bay.

Take Care.

  1. Those cinnabar caterpillars are spectacular. We don't have them here. The plants are similar to many of ours, but I don't think we have that exact spurge.
