Tuesday 19 October

Another damp morning.

Common Field Speedwell - Veronica persica

Heron

Robin

Three Adults & Six Juveniles, thought I was seeing things but we have gained a youngster.

Here it is being chased by one of the local youngsters.

It must have flown from nearby - it does not seem to be too bothered by the hostile natives.

It wants to be with them.

Unfortunately they are not playing.

This is the Dark One of the local brood, the one that is not up to scratch with the flying lessons, I am tempted to name him/her Bumble. Still we all know the ending of the Ugly Duckling story.

Take Care.

  1. That heron reflection is stunning, and I'm always surprised by the looks of your robin, although I do know what it looks like now.
