Mild morning.
This is Billy doing what looks like a bit of nest building on the Top Lodge. Looks like he has paired off with Edwina.
The pond field, this has been dry for ages and last year was a disaster for the toads and frogs who return to it, hope it is like this when they arrive this year.
The sign is back on the Barrow Field, they put this up to keep the footpaths from becoming public - I think it is called a permissive footpath and the landowner has to close the path for one day a year to keep it private.

We have a couple of ponds like that here. One has a lot of migrating birds in the spring when it's wet. I also wonder what they do when those ponds are dry.
