Saturday 26 March

Cool morning, plenty of activity from the birds.

We did not get one bird down yesterday at this spot, this morning they were waiting for breakfast.

Great Horsetail - Equisetum telmateia

Toad hiding in the roots of a tree.
Thought it might be heading for the pond field, it looks fed up now, it will be when it gets there as it is still just mud.

Take Care.

  1. Lovely to see that spring is slowly advancing in your area, just a note to say there are no nuthatches in our local area.

  2. That blue tit is amazing! It looks like someone drew it with markers and crayons. And that Equisetum is amazing. I'm planning to feature our local ones when we actually get to spring.

  4. David, we seem to have a lot of nuthatch in the area now but a few years ago we only saw the occasional one.

Joan the horsetails grow all over the place here and can be a nuisance - they even come up through tarmac on the roads.

Sue the birds just did not want to know us this (Sunday) morning presume you had fed them earlier, little fuss pots.
