Thursday 6 March

Only a few photos today

one of the new nestboxes that has been put up in Burgh Wood, these are made by the children during the holidays. Most are excellent.
Opposite Leaved Golden-Saxifrage - Chrysosplenium oppositifolium
This is the  ancient Beech that was felled a few weeks ago it already had a lot of old initials carved into it most unreadable, this is fresh, I often wonder which tree I carved mine into when I was around ten years old I know the area but could I find the tree? I doubt it as I remember climbing on to the first branch, happy days.
Yellow Iris - Iris pseudacorus
