How time flies
I bought some Fraser Fir seeds in 2009
After frosting them in the fridge I had 3 out of 25 come through - which I now think was a blessing as they are very slow growing

15 March 2011 after this the three went out side to harden off and truth be told I only checked them occasionally.

Taken this morning - I put them in these pots last summer and they have been doing a bit of growing - as yet only about 6 inches tall but quite hardy.

I love Fraser Fir, but didn't know how slowly they grow. Wow. The success rate of trees from seeds is really low. I have one maple I raised that way. Maybe I'll feature it one of these days.
