Sunday 6 February

Mild morning.

This is Billy doing what looks like a bit of nest building on the Top Lodge. Looks like he has paired off with Edwina.

The pond field, this has been dry for ages and last year was a disaster for the toads and frogs who return to it, hope it is like this when they arrive this year.

The sign is back on the Barrow Field, they put this up to keep the footpaths from becoming public - I think it is called a permissive footpath and the landowner has to close the path for one day a year to keep it private.

Friday 28 January

Just freezing outside, but warm enough inside to wake this very dopey wasp queen, she was on the conservatory curtains.

After the photo session I put her in the greenhouse to come round and find a spot for the night.
