Tuesday 18 August

A nice morning for a walk, we got to the weir and it was back in action.
It looks great again.
Elder fruits are ripening although these tasted very tart, makes a nice wine.
Hairy Gall on Beech - this is the underside of the leaf showing the entry.
Top side
Lives up to it's name.
The Hazel nuts are still green and dwindling - the squirrels are getting most of them.

  1. Glad the weir is back in action. Hope it doesn't get damaged again. Lovely photo of the elder.

Let me know you looked in :)
