Sunday 14 December

On arriving at the Big Lodge could not help but notice the two white roses, what was strange to us was the lock, fortunately Steve the ranger was about and told us it was a love lock, we had never heard of them but they have walls of them in some places.

Love Lock

I learned today that Yellow Brain - Tremella mesenterica also needs a host and it's not the oak tree it's growing on it's the purple crust fungi - Peniophora it is on the photo above, so the yellow brain is a parasite on a parasite.
