It was milder and very misty this morning, we took no photos on the walk but we went into town later - while I was waiting for Arnold I always have a look around the car parks for flowers - do not know how I have missed this Mahonia before.
It was part of a previously tended patch - sadly overgrown.
I was thinking it was Mahonia aquifolium (Oregon Grape) but the more I look at the leaves I am not convinced they look too narrow,
The blue-black berries are edible, the flowers fragrant a lovely shrub for any garden.

It looked quite out of place - I am still undecided for the ID could even be Mahonia japonica or M. x media.
