Just above freezing as we set off, no George this morning.

Had a walk around the pond field, found a very straggly Wavy Bittercress just about in flower.

Frozen now, yet it will be teeming with life in a few months.This was a field vole hole now it is Springer size.

All this will be covered in nettles and docks plus lots of hidden gems, can hardly wait to start the hunt. We were on our own until we got to the Barrow. Found Debbie exercising Jake & Harvey.

Back at the Big Lodge it was frozen, it looked bleak today - no sun to brighten it up.
