Just on freezing this morning - the sun was out and it felt glorious.
Sue, Dawnie and Moira were out and about with the dogs, we found them on Primrose Hill. The robins were almost mobbing us for food this morning. We put a fat ball in one of the trees and a small bag of peanuts.
The valley was quiet not many people about.
We soon got over the fields and through Spring Wood.
It had put a layer of hailstone down over night, so the plants are set back again.
Back at the Lodges and a good percentage was frozen, the overnight hailstone finished the picture off a treat.
Meg & Blue along side the Big Lodge.
First to the table another one of our Robin friends.
Also found our first Toad of the year, right in the middle of the path between the Top Lodge and River. Wasn't a big one - 2 to 3 inches and very sluggish we put it out of the way and it moved under a rock, then we put some leaf mould over it.

Had a walk round the lodge again later and the sluice channel table was busy with Long Tail Tits, I counted eight and gave up as they were in and out of the shrubs.
Take Care.
