We spent a good while on the field behind the Top Lodge today, Sue had said there was a large patch of Bistort - we found it.

Quite a few Damselflies around and this one obliged by giving me time to take a photo.

Not the prettiest of plants this Marsh Thistle but the colour of the flowers make up for it, there are usually some white form in this area - no sign as yet.
