Raining this morning, very fine drizzle the sort that wets you through and you do not realize it till you get home.

We had a good walk - nothing out of the ordinary apart from this super Shield Bug.

It is Pentatoma rufipes - a common forest bug. They are also called stink bugs - supposed to exude a pungent smell when disturbed I handled this one and nothing, the only reason I put it on the leaf was to keep it still while I photographed it.
