Well, we have Lycopus americanus. Several others, but that one has the deeply cut leaves. Never heard about the dye thing. Wonder if ours can be used that way.
I guess they all can be used for dye. Found a reprint of an 1830 manual that talks about it. Have to use sulfuric acid to bring out the dye.
