Monday 8 September

Found this on the door step on our way out this morning placed it in the sunshine and it was still there when we got back so I took a couple of photos, it flew off a few seconds later.

Tuesday 12 November

Raining this morning so camera never saw daylight.

We arrived home wet and found one casualty in the water butt and the other on the step.

Queen Wasp thought she was dead it was cold overnight, plus being in the water.

She was still for a long time, I put her in the sunshine that was just appearing from between the clouds and she had vanished before Dinner.

The Small Tortoiseshell was on the step - cold and wet, it was gone long before the wasp

after being in the sunlight.

Friday 23 August

Dry morning

Acorns are now on the oaks, most of the trees have plenty of seed and fruits this year.

We wondered what was happening on the small lodge, never seen this before, the water is being aerated by the fountains, this pond has been plagued by blue algae in the past and has been drained a few times to clean it up, this is supposed to help clean and make the water healthy for the fish and plants.

Pity it can't be a permanent feature it was quite attractive.

Thursday 4 July

Dry morning and we ventured down into Duxbury.

Hasn't Bing grown he's a live wire

Two little Lambs who have lost their way, not really they are from the next field, we helped them back.

We went to the Euxton Mill for our dinner and called at the Crematorium on the way back - this is in Charnock Richard not been open long and we enjoyed the walk around. It is well looked after by the staff.
