Saturday 29 May

Damp again, we had a good look around the lodges.
Not many folk about.

Edwina is keeping these babes very close, all five looking really well.

I am wondering if this family of Canada Geese is the one that has been sitting on the old raft, two babes and they looked well.
We seem to be getting more young this year, although the Great Crested Grebe are having no luck with their nest.

Brooklime - Veronica beccabunga

Dogwood - Cornus sanquinea

Germander Speedwell - Veronica chamaedrys - getting quite a large spread near the big lodge.

Weigelia - Weigela florida

Yellow Iris - Iris pseudacorus

Yellow Water Lily - Nuphar lutea - on the Top Lodge.

Look who has taken over the old nest on the Top Lodge Billy & Lucy Swan, I think they have come for a bit of peace, Edward their Dad will not leave them alone.

Take Care.
