Thursday 27 March

Continuing with flowers today

This is a very special Primrose - Primula vulgaris - I know they grow everywhere, yet this is the last of the ones that Primrose Hill was probably named after - the hill was supposed to have been full in the spring, that was years ago, now we have seen a decline and last year one of the last two was dug up, what for ? I wish I knew. So we now have one and it is healthy - will it be left in peace and flower again next year and maybe our children & grand children will not have to ask why is it called Primrose Hill.
