Sunny day and once again lots to see

Common Dog Violet - Viola riviniana

Toads are now appearing in the lodges this was the Small Lodge, unfortunately there always seems more males than female and she ends up with too many suitors

Saturday 4 April

A beautiful morning to walk

Found in the pavement nick, Common Dog Violet - Viola riviniana

Lots of Wavy Bitter-cress - Cardamine flexuosa in flower these are at home

 Wavy Bitter-cress - Cardamine flexuosa

I am sure this is our youngster from this year that flew off a few weeks ago now in full plumage it came straight to us for feed, the ones that fly in aren't use to corn feed but this one took it straight away.

 Look whose up and about

Definitely warmer as I call her my weather forecaster.

Tuesday 24 March

The air felt damp this morning, we still enjoyed a good walk

Common Dog Violet - Viola riviniana still not seen any flowers on it this year

Ivy Leaved Speedwell - Veronica hederifolia

Lichen Painted Tree - always makes me think it has been sprayed with a dusty paint

Wild Strawberry - Fragaria vesca will not be any flowers on this for a while and we will be lucky if we see any fruit
