Winter Hill living up to its name

Rivington Pike 

The Pike has been part of the beacon warning system for centuries.

No matter where I travel this is always the point I look for and know I am home.

Still below freezing

 The Shoveler Duck was on the Big Lodge she looks really fed up

 So tiny when next to the Mallards

Went out for dinner at the White Lion, Wrightington.

Winter Hill television mast and Rivington Pike - this has always been the land mark I look for, if I can see this I know where I am, as children we must have rambled over all this drinking from the springs and eating berries.
