Friday 13 May

Dry Morning.

Not seen many galls on the Alder this year but we did manage to find some.
 Alder Gall - Eriophyes laevis

These Orchids are all hybrids - Parents are Common Spotted & Southern Marsh. Last year we counted over 40 in the area.
Dactylorhiza x grandis - this hybrid was typical being strong and vigorous looking, note the rings instead of spots.

Just a few feet away and we get a beautiful Orchid that is almost a Southern Marsh.

Both parent plants are to be found nearby.

 Water Dock - Rumex hydrolapathum

White Clover - Trifolium repens
