Sunday 2 August

Nice morning for a walk, we found Dawnie on Sunny Brow, we had a good time looking for plants and anything else of interest. We have noticed that the oaks seem to be having a bad time with galls - the trees look tatty, fortunately they usually recover.
Plenty of these Artichoke galls on the oaks this year.
Could not resist the colour of this Curled Dock.
That stray Meadow Foam has made it self at home.
Meadow Vetchling.
Scentless Mayweed
Sneezewort
Teasel
Plenty of White Lipped Banded Snails.
The Weir was out of action this morning - looks like a board has either been removed or broken, all the water is cascading down the fish ladder.
Doesn't it look bleak, hope it is soon back in action.
