Oh no Billy says what with Toots bossing me now I've got Sally.
And here she is Will o'th wisp number 2 Sally - Sue's son's dog she's a collie x springer spaniel so a real live wire.

Thursday 20 January

Really cold this morning - well below freezing.

Harvey & Jake were out with Debbie. Harvey is still on the invalid list with his leg, he ruptured his cruciate ligament a few months ago, he had it operated on and is still on light exercise.
The dogs love this cold weather, even Dolly was having a run round.

Just look how cold it was, Billy has frosty ears.

Frost is clinging to Toots.

Total loyalty.

Take Care.

George with Tinker waiting for us.

This was what he was looking at, it is not a nice area as the water becomes stagnant.

Sunday 2 January

Just above freezing this morning.

I am behind again due to other commitments - so it will be less blogging for the time being.
I shall try to put the photos on as they are my record of our daily sightings.

Morning sky over Duxbury.

The two lights to the right are on Woodcock's Farm.

Meg in hunting mode, looking for field voles.

Teddy, Toots and Billy getting their orders.

Teddy now passing on his instructions.

A popular field for the deer.

The next four are all round the slippery log - seen a lot of the fox in this area.

Mole hills appearing.

Top Lodge from the back field

Top lodge Reed Beds.
Holly - Ilex aquifolium

Rhododendron - Rhododendron ponticum - some of the buds are withered due to the frosts, I know they are invasive but we do need some for the wildlife to shelter in. Some areas are so bare the deer stand out like sore thumbs.

Track at the back of the top lodge

Still my favourite view, I am going to try and get a monthly photo taken from the same spot and probably have a post of them.

Down to the table.

Not a good photo of the Coal Tit but it is so fast.

Nuthatch

and no blog would be complete with out Charlie Robin.

Take Care.

Christmas Morning

Merry Christmas Everyone.

Sue sent me these showing just what our dogs get up to.

Father Christmas was busy last night and it looked like he had some extra reindeer.
Teddy getting warm after his hectic night.

Toots & Billy ready for bed.

Job well done, I am sure everyone got something they wanted from Father Christmas.

Thanks Sue.

Sue's Photos

I am always glad when Sue sends me photos - she does not take enough, these few she has sent me are beautiful, just look at the frost on the trees.

Big Lodge

Burgh Wood from the Barrow Field.

Teddy

Gate at the top of Primrose Hill - with Frosted Hogweed in the fore ground

Billy with a back ground of trees that look like billowing clouds - now that is fantastic.

Thanks Sue
