Glorious morning and we were orchid hunting, we soon found our first photo, not the rarest but becoming so in our valley due to constant upheaval. I had 8 pin pointed on gps no sign of them, so moved on to fresh areas and we found some, all the rest were a wonderful bonus

Near the Lower Burgh on another beautiful day

 Bracken - Pteridium aquilinum - considered a pest by some but it's our own and I like it

 Common Spotted Orchid - Dactylorhiza fuchsii hundreds open at the moment

Ground Elder - Aegopodium podagraria definitely keep this one away from your garden, it's hard to eradicate

Dry Morning

Found quite a few open flowers this morning plus the leaves of the orchid even though they are distinctive with spots they are hard to see.

Damp morning and not many birds about, Charlie Robin has put in an appearance on the fence near the Top Lodge.
