The clocks went forward an hour over night, I don't think it's necessary any more, it was useful when we needed the light to work in but just confusing for folk today.

Raining this morning, not as bad as yesterday.

Have you ever had the feeling that you are being watched? well we had a watcher in the wood, lone sheep not another in sight, sometimes they get caught in the brambles but it was quite free - just watched us as we passed and on our way back we looked for it, yes it was still watching us a little further on. 

 Primrose - Primula vulgaris in flower Spring has arrived

Lungwort - Pulmonaria officinalis was a little bedraggled but in flower

Damp again

Looking toward the River Yarrow this path leads to the area known as the Horseshoe of the Yarrow.

Red Campion - Silene dioica empty seed heads

 Snowdrop - Galanthus nivalis

 Wood Sage - Teucrium scorodonia empty seed heads

Wood Mouse very scared, it was soon running the other way, I love the big eyes and ears.

Just views this morning on the blog, we took other photos of course but I feel a little nostalgic today so you will have to walk with me or move on :)

We start on Burgh Lane South this leads to Drybones pit head, cottage that was and wood, all worth a visit.

This substantial stone must have seen and done some work

 Carrying straight on and we see the old cottage area, this was burnt out a few years ago by vandals, it's a beautiful spot by the river.

 A bit overgrown now the view from the front door.

 a few remains and reminders that people lived and worked in the area.
