Damp, Cool Morning

 Can't resist the sunrise over the lodge

Tern Rafts waiting for their residents to return - the gulls and other birds make good use of it during the rest of the year

 

Goosanders - males out numbering the females, they seem to avoid all human activity, especially me and the camera.

 Hazel - Corylus avellana, just the male catkins no sign of the female flowers yet.

Damp morning - we saw lots of folk about today, plus plenty of birds

The Dippers at the weir are getting ready for the spring.

 Canada Geese have nested on the raft for a few years, never seen any young from them.

 This is one of the male Goosanders, from a distance the head looks black but as you can see it is a beautiful green.

 Can I ever escape Charlie - he was on the post before I got my food out, so he had to work for his breakfast and pose first, he did and was rewarded.

How can I resist that cheeky look :)
