Misty morning

This memorial bench has always been of interest as it is set back and up a slight incline, next to the old cottage site. We often wondered about this lady and recently had it confirmed she lived in the cottages, she must have looked at the view many times and what a lovely view - there are often fresh flowers among the cottages ruins, she must have loved this area.

Another frosty but sunny morning.

Cormorant on the Tern Raft.

The devastation continues - these are mounds of tree chippings, not one tree left on the field.

Frogs & Spawn in the channel by the Deer Carving.

Grey Lag back on the big lodge.

Got a phone call from Sue at dinner time - Waxwings seen at the back of her garden, I counted over twenty.

Mild morning, plenty of people about today.

The devastation continues

Mild again.

The field near the Barrow and Pond - this has long been a place of safety for the deer but sadly no longer - all the trees have been cut down, no one is owning up to what is going on and who is doing it.

Monday 14 February

Just above freezing - with a bit of rain in the air.

Planted in Burgh Wood a few years ago the Miniature Daffodils are in bud. 

They always look lovely when they flower.

Not seen any frogs yet but found two lots of spawn on the paths.

Billy & Edwina coming onto the Big Lodge from the Top Lodge
