Tuesday 10 March

Just above freezing

To the left for the Lodges, right for the Lower Burgh

Just had to point and shoot with this shot the sun was blinding as it bounced of the water

Dotted Loosestrife - Lysimachia puntacta a patch that I have watched and recorded for a few years, it is at the junction of paths that's also a bridle way - it manages to overcome all the traffic of feet & hoof.

The rucks are still maturing, straggly trees and shrubs, it was covered in buildings 50/60 years ago, lots of the rubble is still there.

Wednesday 26 February

Up through the rucks on our way home, I like this way home as it is a gentle steady climb out of the valley and I can look at all the trees and plants that have been planted or just appeared over the years, some of the trees have become old friends and lots of the plants have spread, some have disappeared - the Himalayan Balsam has thrived and needs to be brought under control if that's possible.

Path down to the lodges
Paths that lead home
Muddy one for Meg
Muddy one for us
The one we use the most, soon be home.

Friday 24 January

Raining when we set off, cleared for a while so we managed a near dry walk.
We had hailstones and a thunderstorm late yesterday, it has nearly all gone, still pockets of it in places.

Sunday 5 January

Red Sky at morning shepherd's warning, it was on fire so we had been warned, we made it back home dry, the wind had started to make it self felt as we headed back.

Home and our breakfast tucked away, now for a few hours on this computer

Sunday 10 November

Miserable damp morning until the sun came bursting through the trees.
I have just put a few of the photos on, I took lots - the light was perfect, days like this are rare for photos.
