29th Dec: Cold this morning

 I love the way frost forms

 Another marker near the small pond no number, still no answers about them

31st: Walked over to the derelict Ellerbeck Colliery site today
This is Eller Brook from which the old colliery was named, will do a separate blog in the new year

Monday 15 December

Dry morning, above freezing the weather is upside down

 Darwin's Barberry - Berberis darwinii looks like the buds are dying back no second flush of flowers

 Dogwood - Cornus sanquinea it is at this stage that it draws the most attention - stands out like a sore thumb

Been among these old workings on the rucks many times but I have to wonder what these markers are for this is number 2 and number 10 is near the brick lined pond and old boiler, will ask around to see if anyone knows anything about them and the missing numbers.
