We headed for the Lower Burgh Meadow.

Cloudy first thing so no sunshine, by the time we had finished our walk it was clear and the sun was warming up for another hot day.

Hawthorn - Crataegus monogyna - it is a wonderful sight to see the hawthorns in the hedgerows full of flowers, they look like they are covered in snow.

Soon be in flower Dotted Loosestrife - Lysimachia puntacta

I have seen this in flower late May but this is another that is behind, Common Figwort - Scrophularia nodosa

Damp morning - we met up with Sue & the tribe, had a good walk.

Mallards they nest in the worst places - hope this one manages to hatch her eggs.

Cuckoo-flower out on the Barrow.

Will we ever be dry again, another damp morning.

Met all the ramblers and set off.

Walked through Spring and Burgh Wood, plenty of plants going over.

This Dandelion was enjoying the rain.

These Guelder Rose berries are the most wonderful colour.

Would look fantastic in any garden.

The weather has not been good these past days, hope it improves - we have plenty of jobs to do at home, inside and out.

Up on the Lower Burgh this morning plenty to see.

Birdsfoot Trefoil

Branched Bur-reed just beginning to flower.

Columbine in the hedgerow on Burgh Hall Rd., I think they are garden throw outs as there was some pink in among them, they looked quite at home.

Marsh Marigold in flower and setting seed.

Ragged Robin - seems a poor show at the moment hope they pick up.
