it was Lonely Lucy, do not know where she has been but it was her, she came straight over for her food, it did not take long before Billy Swan was trying to chase her off.

Tuesday 7 July

Took this photo yesterday, it's garden privet - once upon a time it was part of the long gone Primrose Hill Cottages. When I smell the blossom I am transported to my Grandparents house - this was the first flower seed or so I thought I planted, unfortunately it was not ripe so no seedlings.
Ladybird Pupae
Perennial Sow Thistle in bud - always try to see this plant in the sunshine when it's in flower, it's a stunner (well to me it is).
Upright Hedge Parsley another umbellifer, but easier to name due to its leaf.
Distinctive leaf of Upright Hedge Parsley.
Yarrow
Yellow Loosestrife - this was growing next to Dotted Loosestrife on Birkacre.
