River Yarrow from Sunny Brow bridge, the large item in the river has been there a long time it is a garden roller but the type that you would use on a large field - I am sure a lot of people have tried to get it out but without a good tractor I don't think it would be possible.

Nice morning for a walk.

Large patch of Large Bittercress.

First Yellow Pimpernel flower we have this year.

Goatsbeard at Worthington still not found any nearby.

Saturday 11 April

A wonderful morning, dry and mild - we ambled along the paths taking in what nature put before us and enjoying the company, laughing, chatting and watching the dogs play.

The Garlic Mustard still not in flower over Spring Wood.

The Marsh Marigold patch at the top end of Spring Wood - this is well protected by the deep mud.

Had a ride on my bike up to Hic Bibi this Lesser Periwinkle greeted me.

Lots of Blackthorn.

With a variety of bees and hover-flies visiting it.

Bush Vetch leaves.

I walked back some of the way looking along the hedges and paths.

Wood Forget Me Not.

Spotted Dead Nettle another escapee.

At this point I took my glasses off and put them down to use my camera. Yes I left them there.

I had got down the road when I realised it.

I went back (quickly) and found them.

White Dead Nettle.

And less than a couple of miles from the garlic mustard this morning, this patch was in flower.

Friday 3 April

Dry today, the Marsh Marigold has finally opened - I am informed by my fellow walkers it was open yesterday but I was not there.

This means all the valley through Spring Wood will be dotted with patches of it.

Also found this Lesser Periwinkle in Worthington. It is in a patch that has all sorts coming up, a garden compost dump but wonderful for the walkers.
