Windy & Cool

Took all the decorations off the tree for this year, we will put them away till next year.

 The sky was on fire with the rising sun

 Our home is beyond the trees on the skyline

 This was a sad moment, one of the ancient Beech in Burgh Wood lost a large limb, it does not look good for this tree. 

I wonder how many generations of children have swung across the gully from that limb, there was always a rope dangling from it.

 

 This part of the wood has been neglected and needs a bit of restoration

Large patch of Opposite Leaved Golden-Saxifrage - Chrysosplenium oppositifolium looking really healthy

Some thing to make us smile - people come to see our Kingfisher

and he rarely disappoints

Damp but mild for the time of year

Quite a bit of Bramble - Rubus fruticosus flowering 

Usually find lots of Jelly Ear - Auricularia auricula-judae, this year only found it twice

The Kingfisher is back in the channel

Cheeky Charlie Robin on the carving - someone has put a wreath of ivy & flowers on it

 Damp, mild morning yet all the birds were waiting - some days we see lots and then next day we may only see a few, no accounting for it.

Damp morning - we wandered all over looking for some photo interest, 

on the way back called at the Sluice Channel - yes our little friend the Kingfisher was looking for breakfast.
