Another dry morning on the Lower Burgh

 The Hogweed seeds must be good as the slug is at least 5 foot of the ground

 Three quarters way up was the snail

 That's a fair shell to haul up for a bit of dinner

We went to the Spinners Arms at Cowling for dinner

On the car park we felt lots of eyes watching us - on looking up we spied the cattle all trying to get under the small trees - they must have known we were in for a down pour as it started raining as we set off home.

Dry almost sunny morning

 I am an offcomer as they say round here, meaning I wasn't born in the village, born about 14 miles away and love my home town, seen many beautiful sunrises (possibly more than most) loads of  views from all over the country, yet when we came to live here this view stunned me. No matter how many times I see it I have to tell myself it's real and on my doorstep. Money can't buy it and no one can take it from me, we can all share it.

 Thought this was a strange looking ladybird larvae, not one of our native ones but the Harlequin Ladybird not native but introduced and seems to be building up in number.

 One big slug at least 6 inches in length

Dry so we did our usual walk.

Found these by the Big Lodge.

Leopard Slug - Limax maximus - I learned something today - this slug is not an enemy in the garden, it does not eat plants but other slugs and pests. I am still not keen.

Damp Morning - we were on our own.

We just drifted as we usually do.

Arnold - we were on the weir platform, it was built with wheelchair access as a priority. The old path is still used.

One of the youngsters (I believe it was this one) crash landed in the trees near river yesterday and was in the river when last sighted but it was back on the lodge this morning.

Grand morning, lots of fungi about.

the large black slug was really enjoying its breakfast.

As I said lots of fungi about so will have to leave it to the experts for IDs.

I know this one :) fly agaric this was on the rucks.
