Dry morning

 Top Lodge now almost drained, the Heron was on the top left, still hunting, not seen any of the winter visitors yet.

  Redshank - Persicaria maculosa use to see this all over the place, even in the nicks of the footpaths when I was younger.

This is part of the path all round the big lodge.

The swans are well rested, no young to worry about and now well fed ready for the winter and hopefully a successful brood of young next year.

Grand morning, lots of fungi about.

the large black slug was really enjoying its breakfast.

As I said lots of fungi about so will have to leave it to the experts for IDs.

I know this one :) fly agaric this was on the rucks.

We had our usual detour around the Barrow Field.

They are still digging and making mounds.

Notice this Cormorant on the Big Lodge very busy catching plenty of fish.
Deer Prints - we had seen the deer near Sunny Brow Bridge - a youngster and probably its mother, they crossed the river and went toward the rucks.
