 An old nest - I thought perhaps a Blackbird as it is really close to the ground

 as you can see I am stood well above it.

Damp again - we headed for the Lower Burgh Meadow 

 As we passed the Big Lodge we found the Cormorant still on the tern raft, I bet there are a few disgruntled fishermen.

 This is one of the trees planted in memory of a loved one - it is not a wild crab apple but I would guess at Golden Hornet a garden variety

 I think this is a man made pond as it has a run off to the reconstructed pond on the Lower Burgh. After this point we found very little as this part of the Burgh seems to have been levelled and could almost take a lawn mower!!

 We made our way back to the big lodge and on our way down we spotted this nest in the distance  - we saw a Magpie nearby and wondered if it was one of theirs?

Long Tail Tit was building a nest in hawthorn - it should be safe especially when it comes into leaf.

Leaves of the Primrose  - Primula vulgaris finally showing, only picked out two plants - poor show for a place called Primrose Hill.

Cool dry morning, on our own again so we rambled all over the place, no set plan for walking just followed the paths as they came.

Ash Leaves appearing after flowering.

Beech in Burgh Wood - this is one of the medium sized ones.

It's also in flower - those on the edge of the wood are a few days off.

White Bluebell this time in Burgh Wood.

The hillside is filling with Bluebells.

They always look a treat.

Great Crested Grebe sitting lets hope they have some young this year.

Here is my hero of the moment Mother Mallard still with 5 babes.

I am leaning towards this being a moth - it was so tiny - the leaf is a bramble - I hope to get an ID for it.

More Oaks coming in to leaf.

River Yarrow - not seen it this low for a while.

Silver Birch

Silver Leaved Yellow Archangel - this is a garden escapee.

It's done very well to last this long.

She wasn't on the nest this morning, first time we have caught her off the nest since she started sitting.

She was nearby having a quick wash and brush up.
